Personal Guidance, Thoughtfully Explained
Understanding Your Concern
Observances directed at the nine grahas are a long-established part of Indian practice, kept in households and temples across the country. They are also sold, at considerable prices, by people who present them as transactions. The difference is worth understanding.
What the Practice Traditionally Is
A navagraha observance is directed at a specific graha, usually the one associated with a running period or a weak placement, and traditionally involves the weekday assigned to it, a simple offering, and sometimes a fast or a giving.
It is a household practice. In most of India it is performed by the family, at a local temple, at negligible cost, and has been for generations.
- Directed at a specific graha rather than at all nine indiscriminately
- Tied to the weekday assigned to that graha
- Simple offering, sometimes with a fast or a giving
- Traditionally performed by the family at negligible cost
The Commercial Version
The sold version is performed elsewhere, by someone you will not meet, on your behalf, at a price that bears no relation to the rite. Its performance cannot be verified and its effect cannot be assessed.
Where something is genuinely indicated here, you are told which graha and which day, and you perform it yourself or at your own temple. Nothing is sold and nothing is performed on your behalf.
- No observance performed on your behalf for a fee
- Where indicated, you are told the graha, the day and the form
- Performed by you, locally, at ordinary cost
- Most consultations conclude with nothing of this kind indicated
Simple & Confidential
How Your Consultation Works
- 1
Identify the Graha
Which graha is running and whether its condition in your chart suggests an observance at all.
- 2
Specify the Form
If one is indicated, the day, the form and the period over which it is kept are set out plainly.
- 3
Leave the Performance to You
It is yours to keep, at your own temple or at home, and no part of it involves this practice.
