A wedding muhurta is chosen from the couple's own charts, not from a printed list of auspicious days. Since almost every family works within constraints of venue, season and travel, the practical work is usually choosing between the dates that are genuinely available.
How a Date Is Actually Selected
The starting point is the bride's and groom's charts, particularly the moon and the periods running for each. Then the general factors: the tithi, the nakshatra, the weekday and the planetary hour, and the avoidance of the periods the tradition excludes.
A date that is broadly favourable in the almanac can still sit badly against a particular horoscope, which is why a general list is a starting point rather than an answer.
