Natal Astrology
This is the main body of the work. A chart is cast for the moment of birth, and from it the ascendant, the planetary placements, the divisional charts and the running dasha periods are read together.
Natal analysis answers the broad questions: what this life is structurally inclined toward, where the sustained difficulties lie, and which years carry the greatest change. Almost every consultation starts here, because the other branches are far less reliable when read without the birth chart behind them.

Prashna, or Horary Astrology
Prashna casts a chart for the moment a sincere question is asked rather than for a birth. It is the classical answer to a missing or unreliable birth time, and it is also used for questions that are urgent and narrow: whether a particular deal will conclude, whether a missing document will surface, whether a journey should be made.
It works on a single question at a time, and the question must be genuinely live. A test question asked out of curiosity produces a chart that says nothing useful.

Muhurta, Choosing the Moment
Muhurta selects an auspicious time to begin something: a marriage, a business registration, moving into a house, signing an agreement. It works forward from your own chart rather than from a general almanac, because a date that is broadly favourable can still sit badly against a particular horoscope.
It is worth saying that muhurta improves conditions at the start; it does not rescue an undertaking that is unsound on its own terms. A badly chosen partner does not become a good one because the paperwork was signed at a favourable hour.

Compatibility and Two-Chart Work
Where two people are involved, both charts are read separately and then against each other. The traditional guna milan point score is part of this, but only a part. A high score with a serious Mars affliction on one side is a worse prospect than a middling score with two well-supported seventh houses.
What this work can tell you is where friction is structurally likely: money, temperament, family involvement, physical health. What it cannot tell you is whether two adults will choose to do the work a marriage requires, and any astrologer claiming otherwise is selling certainty rather than reading a chart.
